Welcome to The Village—a playful space designed just for our littlest learners and their grown-ups. This class is all about connection, creativity, and those magical early moments of discovery. Together, you’ll sing songs, explore movement, play simple games, and enjoy gentle storytelling that sparks imagination and joy. We keep things relaxed and welcoming, so little ones can engage at their own pace—whether that means dancing, observing, or snuggling close. It’s also a chance for parents and caregivers to connect, laugh, and be part of a supportive community while making special memories with their child. Each class meeting has a variety of structured music, movement, crafts and storytelling combined with time for free play and exploration. Come as you are, and let’s build your village together. 

Our new season of classes will begin the week of August 10th, 2026. We follow Forsyth County Schools’ calendar, so if schools are closed (Fall Break, Thanksgiving, etc.), we will not have class.

Ages Birth to 2 years:
Mondays 10:30am-11:15am OR
Tuesdays 10:30am-11:15am

Class tuition is $72 per month from August-May.

The story behind The Village:

Hi there! My name is Nicole and this is my daughter, Sophia! I’ve learned in the last year that parenting is much harder (and much more rewarding!) than I could have ever imagined. It’s hard enough being a new mom, but being a new mom during a world-wide pandemic made me feel isolated and lonely I know I’m not the only one. I’m a former public school teacher who currently teaches theater classes at FAPA and I had a lot of conversations with our Founder, Leigh Ann (who I’ve known since high school!), about new motherhood and how alone I felt a lot of time. Out of those conversations, The Village was born! We knew that there were other new parents who must be feeling the same way and we wanted to find a way to develop community. While I definitely want to find enrichment classes for Sophia, I’m also interested in building a network of other new parents who can be a support for us as we navigate what it means to be a mom (or dad!). They say “it takes a village to raise a child”, but finding that village can be tricky…it’s our goal to help you be a part of one…and that’s how we settled on the name “The Village”…it’s exactly what we want to help you find!

Each week of class in The Village will contain 25-30 minutes of enrichment using meaningful music, movement and sensory experiences alongside their grownup. After the formal class ends, children will be invited to experience a time of free play while parents are able to have a cup of coffee or tea and build community and friendships for an additional 15-20 minutes. Our goal is to build an amazing community of people on all walks of the parenting journey who will support and encourage one another while facilitating our babies’ growth and development through enrichment experiences.
