Acting Up

Ages 11-15 (6th-11th grades)

One of our most popular classes, Acting Up is FAPA’s specially designed curriculum for teaching all of the elements of acting on stage to students of all levels of experience. Students in this class will enjoy creative acting games, improvisation, scenes, monologues, creative writing and story-telling all geared specifically towards their age group! Perfect for students interested in giving acting a try without jumping directly into a production experience OR for those more experienced students who are interested in improving their acting technique. Parents will be invited to at least two showcases during the course of the class to experience what the kids are working on.

Mondays 6:30-7:30pm (Tuition: $84/month)

 

Play Production: Clue

Ages 13-17 (7th-12th grades)

Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

All students who enroll will be cast. Tuition will be billed monthly from August through December with a $65 production fee due November 1st.
Performances will be December 12th and 13th at FAPA

Tuesdays: 7-9pm
Tuition and Fees: $105/month. There is a $65 production fee due March 1st that includes all materials related to the production including a script and cast t-shirt for every performer.

 

 

Musical Theater Production: Singing In The Rain Jr

Get ready to dance, sing, and laugh your way through Hollywood’s golden age in this high-energy musical comedy. When silent films make way for “talkies,” leading man Don Lockwood has it all—fame, fortune, and charm. But when his co-star’s voice isn’t quite ready for the big screen, it’s up to aspiring actress Kathy and his hilarious best friend Cosmo to save the show! Featuring unforgettable songs, toe-tapping dance numbers, and plenty of showbiz magic, Singin’ in the Rain Jr. is your chance to shine. So grab your umbrella and get ready for a storm of fun on the FAPA stage!

All students who enroll will be cast. (Auditions will be held the second week of class.)
Performances will be December 19th and 20th at FAPA.

Musical Theater Production: Anastasia

Adventure, mystery, and a touch of royalty—step into the story of Anastasia! Follow Anya, a brave young woman with no memory of her past, as she sets off on an epic journey from Russia to Paris, searching for where she truly belongs. With the scheming duo Dmitry and Vlad by her side, a powerful villain on her trail, and unforgettable songs like Journey to the Past and Once Upon a December, this dazzling musical is filled with heart, humor, and adventure. Will Anya unlock the secrets of her past? Join us on this thrilling quest to find out!

All students who enroll will be cast. (Auditions will be held the second week of class.) Tuition will be billed monthly from August through November and there is a $65 production fee due November 1st. Performances will be December 5th and 6th at FAPA. Please note there is a dress rehearsal on Nov. 22nd.

Thursdays: 7-9pm
Tuition and Fees: $138/month August-November. There is a $65 production fee due November 1st that includes all materials related to the production including a script and cast t-shirt for every performer.

Performances will be held December 5th and 6th at FAPA.
Please note: There is a tech rehearsal November 22nd, which is the Saturday prior to Thanksgiving.

 

 

Technical Theater Workshop

Ages 13-17 (7th-12th grades)

This class will work to learn all of the elements that go into what it takes to make the on-stage magic happen behind the scenes. Students will work to assist in the design and execution of all of our 2025-2026 season of shows. From the sets to lights to sound to stage management, students will work weekly with our FAPA design staff and they’ll also have the opportunity to sign up to work on the Tech crew for each production throughout the year.

Tuesdays: 5:30-7pm
Tuition: $90/month
